Black Monday – storm hits Fingle

There were dramatic scenes in Fingle in the aftermath of Storm Imogen.  Dave Rickwood, site manager, was on-site helping coordinate a massive clear up operation and recorded events in the following photos.   He said, “We had a lot of big trees blown over blocking the road, which we had to clear up to get the timber lorries through”.

A snapshot of life in Fingle, as a lorry load of timber makes its way safely out of the woods on the newly cleared track.  We will be posting more photographs of other areas of the site affected by the severe weather on our Facebook page soon.
