Early in the new year between Monday 4th and Saturday 9th January John Williamson and his heavy horses Jens and Louis will be extracting timber at Upperton Weir on the River Teign. On Saturday the 9th January there is the added bonus of the Exeter Trial when a number of old cars and motor bikes will be taking on the hill climb challenges in Fingle Wood as part of an annual event that has been running since 1910.
