A partnership between the Woodland Trust and the National Trust

Family Fun at Fingle Bridge

The summer rain stayed away for the Fingle Bridge Inn FBI Day of Music. Local musicians and bands played a range of genres from acoustic to pop and folk to rock, entertaining hundreds of people as they enjoyed the riverside atmosphere. Across the river the Woodland Trust provided children’s activities – making dormouse nest boxes, playing a rope jumping game and making their own music with a birdsong samba band. Using wooden instruments they played the sounds of the wood pigeon and pied flycatcher as the music drifted across the water from the pub. A sunny afternoon was an ideal time to play in the river or relax in the meadow before the bands played on into the night.
