Practical Charcoal Experience 11th and 12th April 10am Sat through to Mid afternoon Sunday
Join us for 2 days to take part in a charcoal burn and learn the traditional woodland skills involved. We will create charcoal using the earth and tin method using wood from the Bovey Valley Woods. You will load the kiln, light and monitor the fires throughout Saturday and into the evening. On the Sunday you will be involved in assessing when to stop the process and unloading the Kilns to see how successful the process has been.
This is a 2 day event with the option to camp over (toilet, and BBQ facilities will be available – you will need to bring everything else ).
Starts 10am Saturday morning through until mid afternoon on Sunday.
Cost £25 per person. Booking Essential contact Dave Rickwood firstname.lastname@example.org or call 08452 935810
If you can’t spend the whole weekend – don’t worry come to see this in progress and other activities too.
