Dormice are active at Fingle

September is a good time for looking for the remains of gnawed hazelnuts left behind by hungry dormice. Over the last week we have found evidence of their activity all around Fingle. Some of Tom Wood’s nesting tubes had also been used for nesting in Cod Wood. This is excellent news and will help to prioritise the areas to concentrate on when planning future woodland management.IMG_3933[1]
