Hornet beetle found in Fingle Woods

The National Trust Biological Survey Team found a hornet beetle (Strangalia aurulenta) recently whilst surveying in Fingle Woods. This is a nationally scarce species and is usually associated with decaying oak boughs and is primarily  south western in its distribution.
